If you’ve ever tried to take a photo of a dog, you know how difficult of a task it is. Most of them hardly ever sit still long enough for you to get a nice sharp picture. Regardless, Dog Tales‘ Social Media Manager Clare was brave enough to try and get some of the male dogs, who have yet to be adopted, to participate in a dog bun photo shoot to help boost adoption rates.
The man bun-inspired shoot was off to a rough start, with the dogs shaking off the buns right after Clare and other staff meticulously placed said buns on their heads. “It’s funny how the ideas that seem the most simple and the most fool proof always end up being the biggest ordeal,” Clare said while laughing.
It’s pretty hilarious to watch the staff struggle to keep the buns in place, even the observant horses at the top of the hill are laughing. It’s just impossible to stay annoyed at the adorable dogs who don’t know any better. Thankfully, there are some breakout stars, one of them being Samuel. The three-year-old long-haired American bulldog has been at Dog Tales for two years and Clare doesn’t really know why.
“He’s just an all around perfect dog. I don’t think anyone has ever put in an adoption application for him,” she said. “So, I’m hoping that this photo will help Samuel finally get noticed.”
We’ve got our fingers crossed for Samuel!
