Four amateur home cooks take on a professional restaurant — from the upstart Commis Chef right up to the Head Chef. In each episode, the home cooks face off against one of four fierce chefs who make up The Chef’s Line – The Commis Chef, The Chef de Partie, The Sous Chef and the Head Chef.
The home cooks will be specialists in a specific type of cuisine and they are matched against a restaurant that is known for this same style of food. As the contestants work their way up the line, one of the cooks will be eliminated after every round. If one of the home cooks scores points for a dish higher than one of the professional chefs, they bank the prize money.
