Summer’s winding down and you know what that means… Every one of those delicious cocktails you’ve had the pleasure of sipping on all season are about to be pushed into the ether — at least until the sun graces us again with its warm presence next June.

Now, there’s no need to go into a panic since summer’s technically not going away for another month. To celebrate this great year of fabulous weather and all the hard work (we hope) you’ve put into sipping and relaxing during these warm months, we’d like to present to you this giant over-the-top cocktail. Yes, this spectacular-looking drink packed with a bajillion garnishes, is a Bloody Mary. But, we wouldn’t judge if you wanted to sub out the Bloody Mary mix for Clamato — we’re Canadian after all.

Ingredients

For the drink

  • ice
  • 2 ounces vodka
  • 6 ounces Bloody Mary mix
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • Tabasco sauce

For garnish

  • lemon wedge
  • old bay spice
  • salt
  • skewer
  • cherry tomatoes
  • pickled peppers
  • cocktail shrimp
  • olives
  • gherkins
  • caper berries
  • sliced radish
  • celery stalk
  • pickle spear
  • fresh parsley
  • fresh dill
  • crispy cooked bacon

Instructions

  1. Use a lemon wedge to wet the rim of a tall glass. Dip the glass in a mixture of Old Bay spice and salt. Add the ice.
  2. Pour the vodka and Bloody Mary mix right into the glass and top with a dash of Worcestershire sauce and Tabasco. Stir to combine.
  3. Time for the garnish. Skewer the tomatoes, peppers, shrimp, olives, gherkins, caper berries and radish in any order you’d like and add to the glass.
  4. Stick a celery stalk, pickle spear, fresh parsley, fresh dill and strip of bacon in your drink.
  5. Top it all off with a lemon wedge (and try not to knock off the garnish when you toast to your success).
