Street Food around the World is a culinary journey through alleyways, boulevards and streets; a paradise for food lovers with the smells of the local kitchens and their wonderful flavours.
The series focuses on food stalls and popular local restaurants where hundreds, thousands and even millions of passers-by stop to eat each day, while explaining the source of each dish, recipes and recommendations of where to eat them.
Ishai Golan (born on November 22, 1973) is one of the most well recognized contemporary actors in Israel. Following his graduation from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts, Ishai has shined on the stage, screen and television.
He has appeared in numerous films, including “Overdose” (2003), “Six Million Fragments,” for which he was nominated for Best Actor in the Israeli Film Academy in 2001, and “Love Life” (2007).
In 2010, Ishai won the Best Actor category in the Israeli Academy Awards for the Television Drama “Prisoners of War.” The format for this series was later adapted into the US made “Homeland.”
Ishai has appeared on television screens all over the world acting as a host of the series “Market Values,” which has aired in over 113 countries on National Geographic. The next production to take Ishai on a global tour is “Street Food around the World,” a show about the world’s most enticing street foods.
Golan is an accomplished theatre actor, appearing on stages all over Israel and with internationally sponsored productions.
Golan is married with two children, and lives in Tel-Aviv, Israel.
